    Parker Estep

    Bachelor 9: Christopher Peuler

Christopher Peuler, born in Geneva, Switzerland, spent his early years living along the Swiss border of France before moving to the U.S. at the age of ten. After working in finance for several years, he finally caved to his love of the art and became a model and actor, working on everything from a match.com campaign (how fitting!) to "As the World Turns" to "Law and Order" and most recently (girls--get ready for this!) .... Something Borrowed! Chris isn't just a pretty face, however; he recently returned from Guatemala where he helped build homes for the homeless. He is also a part owner of the restaurant Mercadito, located in NYC, Chicago and Miami.

    Parker Estep

    Bachelor 8: Joe Borstein

Joe Borstein was born and raised in New York City, but he spent his summers with his dad in upstate New York, at a farmhouse affectionately called "Manville." He's a tall (he'd like all the women out there to know that) lawyer and has an outgoing and adventurous personality. In college, he worked for one day at the Krispy Kreme in Penn Station where he realized he was better suited for law school instead. He loves to travel and has been all over the world, including India, Mount Everest, Northern Africa, China, Nepal, and all over Eastern and Western Europe. Joe has a big circle of friends, loves having a good time, and is always the life of the party.

    Parker Estep

    Bachelor 7: Jason Fletcher

Jason hails from upstate New York, but has made his home in the Big Apple. An easy-going, old soul with a mischeivous streak, Jason loves sushi, the Red Sox, karaoke and especially his family. Emily and Jason first met at the law firm they slaved away at together once upon a time. Leaving the shackles of big firm life behind, Jason now works for a start-up hedge fund. He also performs with a professional improv comedy group and is on the board of directors of a world famous modern dance company.

    Parker Estep

    Bachelor 6: Parker Estep

Parker Estep is an Atlanta-based bachelor with a quick wit, Southern charm, and a penchant for roller-skating and wigs (sometimes roller-skating in wigs). A native Floridian with a close-knit family, Parker started his own medical device company specializing in spinal implants. Parker is a sensitive guy who has seen the Little Mermaid no fewer than fifty times (with his nieces, but would be happy to watch on a date as well). His margarita recipe is legendary in the Southeast, as are his Rock Band 3 performances. Emily met Parker in her favorite Atlanta coffee shop. She was writing. He was cracking jokes with his favorite spinal surgeon. Later that afternoon, hundreds of girls wrote in after Emily posted Parker's photo on Facebook.

    Joe Soler

    Bachelor 5: Joseph Soler

Joe Soler is a transplanted New Yorker who made Philadelphia his home while doing Americorps. He just finished his PhD and is currently an adjunct professor of humanities and social sciences at several local universities where he loves teaching and challenging pre-existing assumptions. Joe can speak Spanish, German, Russian, and Hungarian, and enjoys giving tours of his adopted city, telling great stories about obscure streets and alleyways. He and Emily met on Facebook where he became a fan of hers and then of her books; he loves learning about the female mind through them. Emily appreciates Joe's thoughtful, always insightful comments in her threads, and looks forward to finally meeting him face-to-face at the party!

    Zach Laboube

    Bachelor 4: Zach Laboube

Zach Laboube lives in St. Louis with his small dog and cat. A chiropractor and acupuncturist who specializes in musculo-skeletal injuries, Zach loves Jameson, late night nachos, and madras shorts. Although his baby mama jokes that their son will marry before he does, Zach is ready for a commitment (almost). Zach is an avid reader and always judges a book by its first sentence. His favorite authors include Tom Robbins, Larry McMurtry, and Emily Giffin. He enjoys attending Emily's book events (and swears that it's not just because of the gender ratio).

    Doug Steimel

    Bachelor 3: Doug Steimel

Doug Steimel is a lifelong resident of the city of brotherly love. An entrepreneur, he enjoys spending time with friends, doing charity work, and doting on his goddaughter. A big fan of the Phillies, cheese steaks and his new favorite shot, the pinnacle whipped cream vodka, Doug is a guy's guy to the core, but is man enough to read a pink book. Doug is the inspiration behind the character Doug Jackson in SOBO (Darcy's first real crush), as he attended elementary school with Emily where he was adored by the female masses. He and Emily have been close since the third grade--and have never forgotten one another's birthday. Doug is a frequent contributor to Emily's Facebook page where he has been known to whip up occasional controversies.

    Jamal Thomas

    Bachelor 2: Jamal Thomas

Born in NY, raised in NC, and having lived all over the place, Jamal is a professional actor currently residing in Los Angeles. A sweet, soulful wise-ass, Jamal can usually be found playing soccer or enjoying good food, music and film in the company of his closest friends. Jamal and Emily became friends at Wake Forest University when he dated one of her good friends. Although the romance did not last, Jamal and Emily have remained in touch over the years, enjoying spirited, sarcastic banter and fun nights out whenever she visits LA.

    Eric Parlette

    Bachelor 1: Eric Parlette

Eric is a down-to-earth, All-American guy. A huge college sports and country music fan, he ran track at Virginia Tech and still runs many miles a week. Eric served as a doctor in the U.S. Navy for nine years, both stateside and overseas. He is now a dermatologic surgeon in Boston but is willing to relocate for the right girl. He and Emily met at the University of Virginia during their first week at medical school and law school, respectively, and the two spent much of the following three years hanging out together in various university libraries.
